Cashmere is a noble and delicate material that loves water. A cashmere sweater should be washed regularly, after being worn two or three times. Machine washing is suitable for cashmere sweaters. Always use a wool program and do not exceed 500 rpm for spinning. Contrary to popular belief, cashmere does not tolerate fabric softener. Hand washing is also an option, following the same instructions as for machine washing: knead gently for a few minutes without wringing. The cashmere sweater should always be dried flat to maintain its original shape. If the knit shows a few creases, it can be gently ironed on low heat without stretching the fabric.
